有特殊学习困难的学生可能会被推荐参加学术支持班. 这门选修课(每学期1学分)旨在为9-12年级的学生提供结构化的, closely monitored learning environment where they can develop the motivational, organizational and academic skills needed to become confident, independent learners. The class offers accountability, encouragement, 学习策略的成功和动手实际帮助的学生谁想要帮助他们的学业. The class structure involves teaching specific study strategies, filling out a master calendar for accountability for tests, quizzes and projects, and collaborative time to work on core classes with the help of the academic support teacher and junior/senior student mentors. Students should be self advocates; they are encouraged to acknowledge the need for support and 行为ively seek it out. The curriculum and instruction are not modified; however, 学院批准的住宿可以通过个人学习计划(ILP)提供，以支持学生的学习。.

• State the specific learning, psychological or medical disability as diagnosed, including DSM-V Code (if available) 

• Provide relevant educational, developmental, and medical history

• Establish the professional credentials of the evaluator(s).

Dependent on the provided documentation and clinician recommendations, Bishop Blanchet can offer the following accommodations:

• Preferential Seating

• Extended Time on Tests and Exams - 50%

• Separate Location for Tests, Quizzes, Exams

• Access to peer notes or teacher notes

• Access to computer for in-class work or written portions of exams (student provided)

 Upon completion of the plan, the ILP is shared annually with the student, 父母, and school counselor. The Individual Learning Plan is shared with the student’s teachers each semester.
